Rev. Brad Williams- Senior Pastor
Brad is a graduate from Reformed Theological Seminary of Jackson, Mississippi. He is married to his best friend Rachel and they have four children, a son and three daughters. Brad has worked in church ministry full time since 2000. From 2000 through 2009, Brad was a youth and family pastor in three different PCA churches while he earned his MDiv. In 2009, Brad accepted a call to Keystone Heights where he pastored a small, independent Presbyterian church for almost 6 years. While working in Keystone, Brad was introduced to Dr. Richard Parker, and after a few years of friendship and mutual encouragement, Brad and Dr. Parker felt like the Lord was leading them to labor together at the Chapel. Brad accepted the call to be the Associate Pastor at the Chapel in the Fall of 2014, and He came on board in April 2015. Brad loves being with family and helping his wife Rachel homeschool their children. Brad also loves to read, and is lover of all things historical. Most importantly, Brad loves the gospel of Jesus Christ because Brad was rescued from a life of sin and death through the power of the cross. Brad is passionate about seeing the city of Gainesville transformed, and he looks forward to a fruitful ministry in the city.
Rev. Jeffrey Hoy- Worship Director & Youth Pastor
Jeffrey and his lovely bride, Jessie, both grew up in Melbourne, FL and were married July 2012. Jeffrey received his undergraduate degree from University of Florida in 2007 and after working in two years of full time international mission work he came back to Florida to attend seminary. He graduated with his M. Div from Reformed Theological Seminary (Orlando) in 2012 while serving as a young adult ministry director and worship leader at Faith Fellowship Church (Melbourne, FL). Musically, Jeffrey began playing bass guitar at his parents’ church at age 13. His passion to worship the Lord through music continued to grow and he eventually began leading praise and worship in college with his acoustic guitar at UF’s CRU ministry (and other ministries throughout the years). Additionally, he's been blessed to spend time doing international mission work in Barbados and other countries in East and South East Asia.
Jeffrey is also privileged to serve as the youth pastor at The Chapel. As someone who benefited from growing up in a vibrant youth ministry, he understands how crucial the teen years are in nurturing one's relationship with the Lord. Jeffrey has volunteered and served on staff in various youth ministries for over twelve years and is excited to continue to serve the Chapel by leading "The Chaps" alongside his wife, Jessie.
Dr. Richard Parker- Pastor Emeritus
Dr. Richard Parker became a Christian when he was a high school senior in Miami, FL. He entered the University of Florida in 1970. After his marriage to Priscilla in 1971, he graduated from UF with a BS in Public Relations in 1972 and was called by the Lord to enroll in seminary and pursue the pastoral ministry. Since graduation from seminary, Richard has ministered as a pastor for 34 years, serving churches in Tampa and Gainesville, with most of that time in Gainesville. He is an ordained minister with the Evangelical Free Church of America and he currently serves on the Board of Regents for Trinity International University in Deerfield, IL.
Richard’s education and training for ministry include the Master of Divinity from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School and the Doctor of Ministry from Reformed Theological Seminary. He has engaged in additional studies at John Stott’s Institute for Contemporary Christianity in England, the Institute of Holy Land Studies in Israel, the Schloss Mittersill Study Center in Austria, Tyndale Theological Seminary in Amsterdam, and Evangelisches Predigerseminar in Wittenberg, Germany.
Richard’s passion for teaching the Scriptures has given him opportunities to serve as a visiting professor at Tyndale Theological Seminary, Netherlands; Novi Sad Seminary, Serbia; International Leadership Academy, Belarus; as well as preaching and teaching visits to Guatemala, Haiti, Brazil, Belgium, Germany, Hungary, Uganda, and Kenya.
Richard and Priscilla have two grown sons (both UF grads!) who, along with their wives, also love and follow the Lord. Thus far, the Parkers have been blessed with three grandsons and one granddaughter.
